Plot:

FX network’s Shōgun is an adaptation of James Clavell’s best-selling novel of the same title. The author wrote the novel in 1975, which was adapted for a mini-series earlier in 1980. However, FX declared the adaptation of Shōgun as a limited drama series in 2018. The series will have a ten-episode run. With production now happening in Vancouver, we might expect the series to roll out soon.

Shōgun tells the story of the absolute power possessed by Yoshi Toranaga, a daimyo on his captive, an English ship-wrecked pilot named John Blackthorne.

As per the sources, Jonathan van Tulleken will direct the first two episodes of the series. Moreover, Justin Marks, Michaela Clavell, Michael de Luca, and Ed McDonnell will executive produce the series.
