After all the wait, finally the Met Gala 2021 is here. From Rihanna to Billie Eilish everyone walked the carpet wearing their own unique outfit of the theme “ In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”.
Among all of them, Kim Kardashian caught people’s attention the most with her unique as well as confusing costume. She attended the event wearing a head-to-toe black bodysuit with same colour gloves, boots, and a long train. She made her into a straight ponytail. The entire costume was without an inch skin show. Her eyes were also not visible.
Was Kanye with Kim?
This was not the only confusing thing, fans got more interested seeing Kim Kardashian entering side by side with a masked man in hoodie. For the very first they assumed the man to be Kardashian’s estranged husband Kanye West.
In reality, the black covered guy revealed to be Balenciaga’s creative director Demna Gvasalia. He was the person behind the eye catching look also. But the fact that it was not Kanye did not redeemed the fans from guessing that the costume was a sign that KimYe might not be totally over. Because even though Kim’s face was behind mask during the event, Kanye’s influence on her costume was completely visible.
According to a source Kim Kardashian’s look was deliberate as a new fashion statement, no logo, no face but still we all know it is her.
Kardashian or the dementor?
Kardashian’s costume seems like has brought a storm of memes and trolls in social media. While some people are appreciating her courage and sense of fashion some are trolling her for the weird costume.
They could not stop themselves from comparing Kim’s Met Gala look with the dementors from Harry Potter. A lot of them started twitting and posting on social media mocking her costume.
