Met Gala is back!
The biggest fashion night is arriving. Yes Met Gala 2021 is going to take place on this Monday, 13th of September in New York.
Almost more than a year after the pandemic made a mess of all entertainment events and cancelled the Met Gala 2021. Then the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced that the annual celebration of fashion will return in person on September 13. And then again in 2022 In it’s normal time slot which is the first Monday of May.
What is Met Gala?
Formally known as the Costume Institute Gala or the Costume Institute Benefit and also popularly known as the Met Ball or Met Gala is a yearly fundraising gala takes place in the New York City to benefit the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. International celebrities walks in the Met Gala carpet wearing innovative outfits.
For the first time one this Monday Vouge will live stream the Met Gala event. It will allow the fans from all around the world to witness the year’s largest fashion event.
Theme of this year’s event
This year’s Met Gala theme is “In America: A lexicon of design” which will honor the costume institute’s 75th anniversary as well as highlight modern American fashion.
The Met Gala event will begin at 5:30 pm ET. Vogue will present a live webcast which will allow ‘unprecedented access’ to the Gala. Actor and recording artist Keke Palmer and Actor, Director and Writer Ilana Glazer will be hosting the live stream which will go live at 3 ambof 14th September 2021 for Indian fans on Vogue’s twitter account. The duo will interview VIP visitors during the red carpet entry.
Singer Billie Eilish, actor Timothee Chalamet, tennis star Naomi Osaka, fashion designer Tom Ford, poet Amanda Gorman, and journalist Anna Wintour will headline the event in 2021.
