Well, the song was legit, but because of it Justin and Wizkid came in contact back then. The song was dropped out on OVO Sound Radio in May 2016. American top influencers like Snoop Dog, Saweetie, Kylie Jenner, and many more had viral videos of them where they were vibing to the song.

The original song was released on 30th October 2020. It is Wizkid’s 11th track of his career and the 4th from his album Made in Lagos. The song also features Tems who has written the song along with Wizkid. The music video of the song came out this year in April 2020. The theme of the video sees a duo who express their sensual desires for each other.

Well, Essence is the first Nigerian song to flash out on the Billboard hot 100 and the Billboard global 2020. You cannot guess, but the former president of the USA is a big fan of the original song.
