The Crown, Ted Lasso, Hacks and East of Mare Town Win Big at Emmy Awards 2021! Full Winners’ List Below

Emmys 2021 is here for its 73rd edition!

Emmy Awards is the television’s Academy awards. With that, it brings the night’s big winners and this time awards came in with a bang. Unlike the last year which was a virtual event, this year it is back to being an in-person event.

Celebration of talent

The event was held on Sunday, September 19th in Los Angeles’ Event Deck. The ceremony was hosted by Cedric The Entertainer. The presenters of the show included Angela Bassett, Dan Levy, Jessica Long, Sir Patrick Steward, and many more.

Emmy Awards 2021‘s most nominations were for Tv’s Ted Lasso with 13 nominations, it went on to win 4 of them. including Outstanding Comedy series. The best writing and direction for a Comedy Series was won for Tv series Hacks.

Drama Series

The Crown, which had 11 nominations, was the big winner of the night with 7 wins. The Crown won the Drama Series category by taking home the entire category. The winners for acting in the Series The Crown are-

Gillian Anderson for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Olivia Colman for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Josh O’Connor for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

Tobias Menzies for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

also, Winning awards for outstanding drama series, Direction, and Writing.

Comedy Series

Among the other actors, Jason Sudeikis won for best actor in a Comedy Series for Ted Lasso.

Jean Smart won for best actress in a Comedy Series for Hacks.

Brett Goldstein for best supporting actor in a Comedy Series for Ted Lasso.

Hannah Waddington for the best-supporting actress in a Comedy Series for Ted Lasso.

Hacks won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing and Direction for a Comedy Series.

Limited or Anthology Series or a Movie

Kate Winslet for a Lead Actress in limited or Anthology series or a movie for her role in Mare of Eastown.

Ewan McGregor for a Lead Actor in limited or Anthology series or a movie for his role in Halston.

Evan Peters for best Supporting Actor in a limited or Anthology series or a movie for his role in Mare of Eastown.

Julianne Nicholson for Best Supporting Actress in a limited or Anthology series or a movie for her role in Mare of Eastown.

Queen’s Gambit for best-limited series and for outstanding direction in a limited or Anthology series or movie.

I May Destroy You won for best Writing for limited series or Anthology series or movie.

Other Winners included Stephen Colbert’s Election Night 2020 for an Outstanding Variety special. RuPaul’s Drag Race too bagged an Emmy for Outstanding Conception.

The renowned artist Debbie Allen was felicitated with Governors Award.

Saturday Night Live won the award for Best Variety Sketch series.
