TWICE’s next album will be their first Korean album since they dropped “Taste of Love” in June. Their other full Korean album was “Eyes Wide Open,” which came out in October 2020. They will tour for the first time since their 2019-2020 tour “TWICELIGHTS” got cut short due to the pandemic.

TWICE was among the K-Pop bands to win certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).

The RIAJ implemented a new certification system in 2020 for online music streaming. This was meant as an addition to physical album shipments and digital download sales. As per this system, songs get certified silver when they reach 30 million streams, gold at 50 million, and platinum at 100 million.

The latest batch of certifications, was dated August 21, and both BTS and ITZY received multiple official certifications for streaming. TWICE won a silver certification for their recent Japanese single “Kura Kura.” This extended their record of being the female artist with the most songs to have received the RIAJ’s streaming certifications.

The other group to receive this award was IZ*ONE, who also won silver.
