Sterling has already found his next major project
Sterling K. Brown is a known American actor who has done numerous outstanding projects. He is known for his role in the limited series. The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Additionally, he currently stars in NBC drama series This Is Us as Randall Pearson.
In fact, both of the roles mentioned above got Sterling K. Brown an Emmy award. The show, This Is Us, premiered back in 2016. This Is Us was actually loved by the audience because of it’s fine story and an outstanding cast. In addition, The plot of the show revolves around three siblings. This Is Us currently has five seasons available.
However, in May 2021, it was announced that the next season in the series will be the last. But it seems Sterling K. Brown has already found his next project.
Brown to star in Washington black as Medwin Harris
Hulu just announced that the series adaptation of the novel Washington Black is coming. Furthermore, the news was recently announced by various sources. Sterling K. Brown is all set to be the star of the upcoming series. Additionally, the actor will also be the executive producer of the series. It seems that the series Washington Black will consist of 9 episodes. In addition, Selwyn Seyfu will be the series’ writer and will also be the executive producer.
Moreover, Esi Edugyan, who is also the writer of the novel the series is based on, will co-produce the series. According to the reports, Sterling will play the role of Medwin Harris.
The plot of the series will follow black and Medwin’s relationship
The adaptation will follow the life of George Washington “Wash” Black. An 11-year-old George Washington “Wash” Black is runs away from a sugar plantation in Barbados. In fact, Black is forced to run from the plantation following a traumatic experience. Black after running away from the plantation, becomes Medwin Harris’ protégé. Medwin Harris is a popular convivial refugee.
In fact, Harris himself has travelled all over the world following his traumatic experience as a child black refugee. However, when Medwin meets his protégé, Black, he gets sent down on a path of self-discovery. The series will heavily focus on Medwin and Black’s relationship.
